“No two people living on Skid Row, or in the Sepulveda Basin, ended up there for the same reasons. But the common thread among all unsheltered Angelenos is the need for a safe place to sleep while we help them find a stable home and a better future.” - Mayor Eric Garcetti
Los Angeles is uniting to end the moral and humanitarian crisis of our time. Angelenos know and understand that homelessness will not be solved overnight — but the City and County of L.A. are working more closely together than ever to bring unsheltered Angelenos inside with homes, healing, and hope.
Today, we are deploying unprecedented resources — thanks to dual ballot measures (Measure H and Proposition HHH) approved by an overwhelming majority of voters, and millions of dollars in new state funding — to build thousands of units of supportive housing, expand bridge housing to help Angelenos transition off the streets, and hire an army of outreach workers, housing navigators, mental health experts, anti-addiction specialists and other professionals to be the heart, brains, and muscle of the movement to end the crisis on our streets.
